Information Collection and Use

ConnectForLunch is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, rent or share this information to any outside parties, except as outlined in this policy. To track and correlate data, our applications and websites may use technological facilities for tagging and tracking including, but not limited to web cookies, login usernames and other technologies, but only for our own internal use. Also for our own internal use, we may collect personal information and data including, but not limited to, application and Website usage data, viewing data, file transfer and email data and personal contact information such as email addresses, mailing addresses and phone numbers.

Registration

In order to use this website and the ConnectForLunch service, you must first complete the registration form. During registration, you will be required to provide your contact information, which includes your name, e-mail address, telephone number and street address. This information is used to provide you with ConnectForLunch services such as automated service updates via e-mail.

Order
During the order process, you will have to provide financial information such as your credit card number, expiration date, and billing address. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your order. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this contact information to get in touch with you. To properly process your credit card information, we must share your personal and financial information with our payment gateway for authorization and approval. This process is protected by an enhanced security system. See the Security section below for more details on security measures and procedures. We do not share your personal and financial information with any third parties, except those specified in the Sharing section of this policy.

Cookies and Other Technologies

ConnectForLunch's website, online services, and email messages may use "cookies" and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our website people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of promotions.

ConnectForLunch customizes certain Web page content based upon your browser type and other information provided by our cookie. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. If you choose to reject the cookie, you can still browse our website but will be unable to register an account, order a subscription, or login and access your Member account. The ConnectForLunch registration and order forms cannot function without cookies enabled so that the necessary information to process your order is retained. If you disable cookies, ConnectForLunch will be unable to accept your online order. We will not share any personally identifiable information provided by this cookie with any third party. We will, however, link data stored in cookies to the personally identifiable information you submitted while on our site. As is true of most websites, we gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

In some of our email messages, we use a "click-through URL" linked to content on the ConnectForLunch website. Service Providers
We may employ third party companies to perform functions on our behalf. These functions may include order fulfillment, package delivery, marketing assistance, postal and e-mail delivery, customer service, data analysis, and credit processing. The third parties we contract for these purposes have limited access to your personal information and may not use it for other purposes.

When you register for a paid subscription through our website, Authorize.Net (our third-party credit card payment gateway) provides your name, billing address, and credit card information, along with the amount to be charged, to the bank that processes your credit card for billing purposes. This process is protected by an enhanced security system.

ConnectForLunch does not keep any credit card information on our servers. This information is kept by Authorize.net in secure databases in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI DSS") and will be used with your authorization for recurring billing. Others
It may be necessary - by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence - for ConnectForLunch to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate.

We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users. Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger, or sale we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party. You will be notified via email of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

ConnectForLunch takes precautions to — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

When our registration/payments form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as your credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software currently available in the industry Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, certified by VeriSign. Profiles
Any personally identifiable information that you post to your member profile can be viewed by other users. ConnectForLunch does not validate your or other Users' information or identities and therefore cannot guarantee the accuracy of personal data.

Correction/Updating/Reviewing Personal Information
Members may change or review their stored account information such as street address or e-mail address through our website by visiting the Your Account page. You must have your username and password in order to access your account. In the event you forget both your username and password, please contact our customer service department for assistance.

Choice/Opt-out

For customers who wish to opt-out and stop receiving ConnectForLunch invitations and related news, ConnectForLunch provides several ways to do so. Members who no longer wish to receive our invitations or promotional materials may opt-out of receiving these communications by modifying their Email Preferences or by canceling their accounts from the Your Account page. They may also send e-mails to with a request to be removed. Finally, they may use the link provided in all ConnectForLunch communications to automatically unsubscribe.

We will use reasonable efforts to comply with this privacy policy and will take prompt corrective action when we learn of any failure to comply with our privacy policy. We sometimes release beta versions of our products, which are further refined before the release of the final version. Because these products are still in a test phase, we may not always catch an unintended privacy issue, despite our efforts to do so. As such, we welcome User feedback on any privacy concerns. In light of the above and because of the complex and constantly changing nature of our technology and business, ConnectForLunch does not guarantee error-free performance under this privacy policy.
